ESO: subscription and consoles release

18 JAN/ by BuyEso

As recently known, to all EB Games stores was sent a directive that all unsold copies of The Elder Scrolls Online, including prepaid cards, must be returned back to the publisher.

A source at the EB Games has confirmed that everything related to the game will be removed on January 13. Publishers have not told the reason of the game removing. But it is believed that the ESO will change the business model and will become shareware. It has already been canceled paid subscriptions for 180 days, although players have still the opportunity to buy a subscription for 30 or 90 days.

Later EB Games on their Facebook page reported that the disposal of unsold game stocks is normal. This practice has been applied with such games as The Evil Within and Destiny, but these games remain in store, in the case of The Elder Scrolls Online prepaid cards are also removed from the shelves.

Players received a comment from Zenimax Online developer:

At the moment, we do not plan to make changes in the payment model of the game. Now are available 30 and 90 days subscriptions. On advertisement page, you can monitor any changes that we will introduce in the game.
